01 — ABOUT THE PROJECT

Most agencies sell the same
trip to everyone.

BalmyTrip's promise: obsessive research, fully bespoke itineraries, and every tax included by default — so the price you see is the price you pay. The design challenge was to translate that promise into a premium, human, trust-first experience without a single generic stock-photo cliché.

THE PROBLEM

Copy-paste packages. Surprise costs. Impersonal bookings.

The travel market is flooded with identical brochure-built packages and prices that balloon at checkout. Every agency pitches the same itinerary. Booking feels transactional, not personal. Travellers distrust the final bill until it's confirmed.

THE SOLUTION

A conversation-led site built on radical price transparency.

A "Plan Your Trip" builder, prominent ₹0-hidden-fees messaging, and editorial destination storytelling that frames every trip as one-of-a-kind — designed so the experience itself signals honesty before a single word is read.

02 — THE UXVITALS PROCESS

Diagnose. Design. Validate.

Our three-tier methodology applied to BalmyTrip: start with a forensic audit, design from the friction points outward, then validate at every milestone.

DIAGNOSE

UX Audit + User Interviews

Benchmarked trust signals, booking flows, and competitor pricing pages. Interviewed 8 travellers to map anxiety points in the booking journey.

✏️
DESIGN

Information Architecture + High-Fidelity UI

Restructured navigation around intent states, built the conversation-led booking widget, and defined a warm editorial design system end-to-end.

VALIDATE

Prototype Testing + Handoff

Two rounds of usability testing with 5 travellers each. Iterated on the price-transparency module and "Plan Your Trip" CTA placement before final handoff.

03 — USER RESEARCH

Who we designed for.

User interviews surfaced a primary persona: the high-trust, high-expectation traveller who's burned by the gap between promise and delivery.

Surprise fees wanted
  • A trip that feels personal, not packaged
  • Know the true, final price upfront
  • Hand the logistics to someone she trusts
  • Every agency pitches the same itinerary
  • Costs that quietly balloon at checkout
  • Contact forms instead of real conversations
  • No proof — missing reviews, transparency, real photos
04 — DESIGN SYSTEM

Color Palette

Deep midnight navy, sunset coral, and warm paper cream — luxury that still feels human. UXVitals rationale: warm tones reduce cognitive anxiety; navy builds premium trust.
